Blue Dust Box to perform Saturday

Posted in Local Events on November 7th, 2001

The Clayton News-Star

Clayton’s own Blue Dust Box will play songs from their soon-to-be-released CD “Everybody’s Fault But Ours” in a live performance at McKinley’s on Saturday at 9 p.m.

During the last few months, Derek Arnold (drums/keyboards, vocals), Kenny Bledsoe (guitar, vocals), Mike D’Alessandro (guitar), and Dan D’Alessandro (bass) have been hard at work perfecting the 10 tracks on the CD at Studio 415 in Clayton, along with music producer Paul Barton.

“At first, I cringed at the thought of working with four teenagers,” said Barton, rolling his eyes. “But I was quickly drawn in to how Blue Dust Box creates a new sound that’s firmly rooted in the rock and blues that I grew up on. They’re a lot of fun and way ahead of their time.”

With the recording sessions now complete, the CD is slated for an early December release, and will be available in several area CD stores and through the Studio 415 website.

A rare combination of youth, seasoned musicianship, talented songwriting, and family history helps the four young members of BDB create a new, yet familiar sound that brings several generations of rock fans together.

Strong vocal harmonies, tasteful guitar riffs and a fundamental love of music gives their songs a depth that keeps their fans returning for more.
